F.R. “Frosty” Hoefer

Mr. Hoefer has been a very successful business man in his community in his own right. He was the Founder and Organizer of the Higginsville, Municipal airport. He was the former President of the Higginsville chamber of Commerce. The Chairman of the board of the Lafayette county economic development council.

Owned and operated the now 3rd Generation Hoefer funeral home for some 40 years. His son now will pass the Family business to Frosty’s grandson and will them become the fourth generation to Own and manage the business.

Frosty was a Cessna Dealer / distributor for over 20 years and first received his pilots certificate back in 1963, His vast knowledge of aviation spans some 5 decades now is a testament to his dedication and love for aviation. A veteran of the Korean war Frosty knew firsthand what a role aviation has played in our nation’s history of dominating the skies.

Frosty Feels like the new category of Light Sport Aircraft that Renegade Light Sport Specializes in will revolutionize the Aviation industry with the baby boomers era drawing to a close. The largest most influential generation in our history is now beginning to lose their FAA medicals. They must now turn to the light sport category to fulfill their need, no their love, for flying.

Mr. Hoefer is 81 years young and still enjoys his flying upon occasion. His words ring true as “this is my last Harrah in aviation. I want to bring Light Sport Aviation to the aviators who need it.” Here in America’s heartland.
